We are right in the centre of the the picturesque village of Nunney in Somerset, once described by the BBC as the prettiest village in England. Our 17th century Inn directly overlooks a stream, waterfall and a 14th century Castle . This well preserved castle is still today surrounded by one of the deepest moats in England and is now an English Heritage tourist attraction with free entrance to visitors 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
The beautiful village of Nunney has a cafe serving cakes and cream teas along with sandwiches and light meals, there is a convenience store selling all you could need for a weekend stay, and the 12th century Church of all Saints complete with an extensive history of the village.
Local attractions and places of interest include: Frome (2 miles), Longleat House and Safari Park (8 miles), Royal Bath and West Showground (10 miles), Glastonbury (12 miles), Wells (14 miles), Bath (17 miles). Stonehenge , Salisbury , Shaftesbury , Bristol and Cheddar Gorge are all within an hours drive.
