While you will spend some of your time talking about methods and techniques, you will spend most of your time cooking - after all, the best way to learn is by doing. From day one, you'll work both in pairs and on your own to create impressive food that not only looks and tastes great, but builds your knowledge, understanding and confidence.
Rosie teaches no more than five students at a time in the relaxed atmosphere of her home in Nunney, Penny's Mill - an attractive converted watermill that is over 200 years old. Accommodation is provided on site as part of your all inclusive course fee, and at the end of a hard days work you'll be able to relax in warmth and comfort, with all the benefits of a real home.
Your comprehensive course fee includes four week's tuition, examination for the Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering, Rosie's legendary course file, informal wine tastings, and all meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Hours of tuition are from Monday morning to Friday afternoon, in addition to which pairs of students alternately take responsibility for preparing the evening meal under Rosie's supervision. You'll work hard but learn more than you can imagine - and have a lot of fun too!
